Job Description

The Mechanical Design Engineer Co-op will be mathermatically and mechanically minding with strong analytical and critical thinking abilities. They will be inquisitive and seek to learn about engineering and design principles that help find creative solutions to technical problems. They will work with the Design team to learn about design requirements and to update design specifications as needed. They will also work cross functionally with the manufacturing team including Manufacturing Engineers and Quality Engineers to determine mechanical requirements and specifications for various products.

Primary Duties:
  • Work with design team to plan and execute mechanical designs using CAD, CAM,a dn 3D CAD programs
  • Document design process, iterations, and test analytics
  • Support in the preparation of technical reports, design specification documents, and operational manuals
  • Conduct research in partnership with design team to determine engineering methods required for the mechanical systems

Required Skills:
  • Coursework related to mechanical engineering and/or mechanical design
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Good communication skills and desire to learn through hands-on activities
  • Seeking a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field
  • Current Junior or Senior in engineering program

For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $23.00 to $27.00 US Dollar (USD) Hourly based on a variety of factors. Employees will receive 0 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays. Employees (and their families) are eligible to participate in the company's medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are eligible to enroll in the Company's 401(k) plan.

This position requires use of information or access to production processes subject to national security controls under U.S. export control laws and regulations (including, but not limited to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR)). To comply with those regulations, this position may require applicants to be U.S. Persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, U.S. lawful permanent residents, protected individuals as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)), or eligible to obtain the required export authorizations from the U.S. Department of State or the U.S. Department of Commerce.
