Summary

Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Vancouver-based IT Program Manager with a strong background in financial services and Wealth Management to lead a large-scale platform migration initiative. The ideal candidate will possess proven expertise in managing complex technology transformations, engaging cross-functional stakeholders, and implementing organizational change management. Creating alignment with the business will be critical. This role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing the migration of core business operations from legacy platforms to modern financial systems, ensuring minimal disruption to critical services. Key Responsibilities
Program Leadership & Strategy

Define, plan, and oversee the full lifecycle of the platform migration program, including initiation, execution, monitoring, and closure.
Establish program governance, reporting structures, and decision-making frameworks to ensure alignment with business objectives.
Drive risk, dependency, and issue management with proactive mitigation strategies.

Stakeholder & Change Management

Engage business and technology stakeholders across operations, compliance, risk, and IT functions to align objectives and expectations.
Lead Organizational Change Management (OCM) activities, including communication planning, training, and end-user adoption strategies.
Act as the primary liaison between senior executives, program sponsors, external vendors, and delivery teams.

Technology & Migration Execution

Collaborate with technology leads and solution architects to define migration strategy, data conversion plans, and cutover approaches.
Ensure program delivery aligns with regulatory, security, and compliance requirements within the financial services industry.
Manage third-party vendors, system integrators, and consultants engaged in the migration effort.
Oversee end-to-end testing cycles (system, integration, user acceptance) to ensure data integrity and functional readiness.

Financial & Resource Management

Manage program budget, forecasts, and resource allocations across multiple workstreams.
Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide executive-level reporting on progress, risks, and benefits realization.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field (Master's preferred).
8+ years of IT program/project management experience, with at least 3-5 years in financial services (banking, wealth management, or capital markets).
Hybrid 3 days on-site in downtown Vancouver
Worked with multi-year projects of $20M+
Proven track record leading platform migrations or large-scale system transformations (preferably Broadridge, FNZ, or similar financial platforms).
Strong knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements in financial services (e.g., SEC, FINRA, GDPR, SOX).
Familiarity with Agile, SAFe, and hybrid delivery frameworks in complex enterprise environments.
Exceptional leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
PMP, PgMP, or Agile certifications preferred.
