Summary
Role: Systems Administrator
Location: Remote
Job Description:
Installs, configures, administers, and supports server, operating-system, storage, virtualization, backup, and core infrastructure services. Maintains availability, patching, monitoring, access, and recovery procedures. Level III scope: Senior resource; complex delivery, mentoring, and workstream coordination.
Core responsibilities:
- Administer Windows/Linux servers, virtualization, storage, backup, monitoring, file/print, certificate, and core infrastructure services.
- Perform provisioning, patching, backups, restores, capacity checks, vulnerability remediation, and incident response.
- Troubleshoot system performance, access, configuration, and availability issues.
- Maintain SOPs, asset/configuration records, maintenance schedules, and disaster-recovery documentation.
- Coordinate changes with applications, security, network, cloud, database, and vendor teams.
Level expectations:
- Owns complex or escalated work, leads small enhancements or transition activities, mentors junior resources, identifies root causes, and improves operating procedures and service quality.
Skills/Experience:
- Server administration, virtualization, storage/backup basics, scripting, monitoring, security patching, ITSM, troubleshooting, and healthcare uptime requirements.
