Description
We are looking for a skilled Technical Artist to join our team on a long-term contract basis. In this role, you will contribute to the development of interactive and visually engaging assets for a healthcare education platform. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in Unity and 3D asset workflows, with a focus on creating high-quality visuals optimized for performance on lower-end hardware.
This will be 100% remote, and is allocated for 35 hours per week.
Responsibilities:
Develop and optimize 3D assets within Unity to ensure seamless integration and functionality.
Manage Unity's humanoid workflows, including animation controllers and prefabs, to enhance project performance.
Convert and integrate 3D assets using appropriate file formats while maintaining visual fidelity.
Collaborate with artists and developers to balance realism and performance objectives.
Optimize assets to meet performance standards on lower-end hardware without compromising quality.
Make strategic decisions regarding realism and stylization to align with project deadlines and goals.
Utilize Autodesk tools such as Maya or 3ds Max for asset creation and refinement.
Apply scripting knowledge in Python/Pymel and C# to streamline workflows and enhance functionality.
Ensure all assets meet technical requirements and adhere to performance benchmarks.
Requirements
At least 1-2 years of experience working with Unity, including its asset pipeline and workflows.
High school diploma or equivalent educational qualification.
Proficiency in Unity humanoid workflows, animation controllers, and prefabs.
Familiarity with Autodesk products like Maya and 3ds Max for asset development.
Basic knowledge of Python/Pymel scripting and C# programming.
Understanding of 3D optimization techniques to enhance performance on various hardware.
Ability to balance visual realism and stylization based on project needs.
Strong organizational and communication skills to collaborate effectively within a development team.
