ApTask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking an Engineer for a 12+ month contract located in Thousand Oaks, CA. This is a hybrid role with 3 days onsite. Summary: This position supports senior staff in the initiation, design, and delivery of projects, with a particular focus on automation. The successful candidate will employ basic engineering skills to gather user requirements, translate them into technical documentation, and perform engineering studies and assessments for automation system installations. This role requires hands-on engineering for the validation and qualification of equipment.
Responsibilities: - Perform field evaluations of existing systems and provide engineering design recommendations
- Apply equipment and method validation principles, generating Lifecycle Documentation such as FAT/SAT, IQ/OQ, and equipment characterization protocols
- Conduct Gauge Repeatability and Reproducibility studies
- Troubleshoot various lab instruments and automation systems by learning specific control software from vendor manuals and site documents
Requirements: - Master's degree OR
- Bachelor's degree and 2 years of experience OR
- Associate's degree and 6 years of experience OR
- High school diploma / GED and 8 years of experience
- Hands-on engineering experience in validating and qualifying equipment
Desired skills: - Previous internship experience
- Experience with automation, computer programming, systems, and/or robotics
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Statistical analysis and knowledge of Gage R&R
- Knowledge of Optical measurement devices, force testers, and BLE testing
- Test method development, CAD design, SolidWorks, and mechanical modeling
- Manufacturing experience, including IQ, OQ, and PQ
Pay range: up to $91.91 per hour
