Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Finance Project Manager with strong Accounts and Accounting experience to lead finance-related projects, manage accounting operations, oversee financial processes, and drive process improvements.
The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL), financial reporting, budgeting, reconciliation, and financial project management. The candidate must be comfortable coordinating with finance, accounting, business, and IT teams to deliver projects successfully.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage finance and accounting projects from initiation through completion.
Work closely with accounting and finance teams to improve financial operations and business processes.
Oversee Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL), and month-end/year-end closing activities.
Manage financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and expense tracking.
Coordinate account reconciliations and financial reporting activities.
Monitor project budgets, financial performance, timelines, and resource allocation.
Identify process improvement opportunities and implement accounting workflow automation.
Manage financial system implementations, upgrades, and integrations.
Coordinate with internal stakeholders, auditors, vendors, and external finance teams.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, financial policies, and internal controls.
Prepare financial dashboards, project status reports, and management presentations.
Identify project risks, resolve issues, and ensure timely project delivery.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
8+ years of experience in Finance, Accounting, and Project Management.
Strong hands-on experience in accounting operations and financial management.
Good understanding of Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and General Ledger (GL).
Experience with bank reconciliation, account reconciliation, and financial statements.
Knowledge of month-end and year-end closing processes.
Experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and financial reporting.
Strong experience managing cross-functional teams and finance stakeholders.
Excellent communication, leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
Preferred Qualifications
PMP certification or equivalent project management certification.
Experience with ERP and accounting platforms such as SAP, Oracle Financials, NetSuite, or Workday.
Experience in finance transformation and accounting process improvement initiatives.
Knowledge of GAAP and financial compliance requirements.
Experience with financial automation and system implementation projects.
Experience working with US-based finance and accounting teams.
