Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Embedded Firmware Developer with strong expertise in C/C++ development, Embedded Systems, Wi-Fi technologies, Linux, and IP Networking. The ideal candidate will work on next-generation wireless networking products, contributing to firmware design, development, debugging, performance optimization, and feature implementation across Wi-Fi-enabled devices and networking platforms.
Candidates must have hands-on experience with Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac), Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax), Wi-Fi 6E, and Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be) technologies and possess deep understanding of networking protocols and Linux-based embedded environments.
Mandatory Skills
Embedded Development
- 8+ years of hands-on embedded software/firmware development experience.
- Strong programming skills in:
- Experience with embedded Linux platforms.
- Experience in firmware architecture, development, debugging, and optimization.
- Strong understanding of memory management, concurrency, multithreading, and IPC mechanisms.
Wi-Fi Domain Expertise
- Hands-on experience with:
- Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac)
- Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax)
- Wi-Fi 6E
- Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be)
- Deep understanding of:
- MAC Layer
- PHY Layer concepts
- WLAN protocols
- Wireless security protocols
- Experience troubleshooting Wi-Fi performance and connectivity issues.
- Understanding of roaming, mesh networking, band steering, channel selection, DFS, MLO, OFDMA, MU-MIMO, Beamforming, WPA2/WPA3, and related technologies.
Networking Expertise
Strong knowledge of IP Networking including:
- TCP/IP, UDP, DHCP, DNS, NAT, VLANs, Routing & Switching Concepts, IPv4 / IPv6, ARP, ICMP, QoS
Experience analyzing packet captures using:
- Wireshark, tcpdumptcpdumpValgrindtcpdumpValgrind
Linux Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience in Linux development environment.
- Shell scripting.
- Linux kernel fundamentals.
- Device drivers and network stack concepts.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop embedded firmware solutions for wireless networking products.
- Develop new features for Wi-Fi routers, gateways, access points, mesh systems, and wireless devices.
- Enhance existing firmware capabilities, stability, and performance.
- Debug and resolve complex networking and wireless protocol issues.
- Analyze packet traces and root-cause customer-reported issues.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including:
- System Architects
- Platform Teams
- Cloud Teams
- QA Teams
- Product Management
- Participate in code reviews and architectural discussions.
- Develop unit tests and integration test strategies.
- Support firmware releases and production deployments.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Broadband/CPE products.

- Experience with Qualcomm, Broadcom Wi-Fi chipsets.
- Knowledge of DOCSIS gateways is a plus.
