Data Architect

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce's direct client is in need of a Data Focused Solutions Architect to work 5 days a week on-site in Parsippany, NJ for a 6 month contract to hire.

Responsibilities:
* Define and implement long-term data technology strategy and roadmap
* Simplify and modernize data architecture, ensuring reusable services and cost efficiency
* Develop and maintain data architecture roadmap, catalog, and integration frameworks
* Establish best practices, patterns, and frameworks for modern data solutions
* Develop and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models
* Ensure compliance with governance, privacy, and regulatory standards

REQUIREMENTS:
* 7+ years in solutions data architecture with experience leading data warehousing, analysis, and modeling projects
* Expertise in modern cloud data platforms (Azure, Fabric, AWS)
* Microsoft stack experience is critical, with a strong preference for Power BI
* Data is currently decentralized, creating governance and consistency challenges
* Power BI is heavily used but needs stronger standards, structure, and efficiency
* Strong knowledge of ETL/ELT, integration, analytics architecture, and governance
* Experience with Power BI tools and Azure DevOps
* Expected Travel - 10%

Preferred Experience & Skills:
* Preference for candidates with experience in industrial, manufacturing, chemical, or similar environments due to the blend of corporate and refinery data although adjacent industries will still be considered
* Familiarity with Snowflake, Databricks, Redshift, BigQuery, Synapse
* Experience with streaming and real-time architectures
* Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform)
* Background in regulated or complex enterprise environments
* Experience in regulated or complex environments (e.g., industrial, energy, manufacturing, healthcare, or finance)

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
