As a NAPA Gold AutoCare Center, The Garage in Renton provides a steady workflow, a Monday-Friday schedule with no weekends, paid training, and a comprehensive benefits package. Technicians work in a heated, four-bay facility equipped with three lifts and use Tekmetric for Digital Vehicle Inspections (DVI) and shop management.

The shop is looking for a technician who can confidently diagnose vehicle concerns, complete repairs independently, and deliver quality workmanship while contributing to a collaborative team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and drivability concerns using automotive diagnostic skills and experience.

  • Perform general automotive maintenance and repairs, handling assigned jobs from initial inspection through completion.

  • Complete Digital Vehicle Inspections (DVI) using Tekmetric, accurately documenting vehicle conditions, findings, and recommended repairs.

  • Independently complete assigned automotive repairs while maintaining quality workmanship and efficiency.

  • Perform oil changes, routine maintenance, and general automotive service as needed.

  • Troubleshoot automotive issues, identify appropriate repair solutions, and maintain accurate repair documentation.

  • Maintain strong productivity while completing assigned work safely, accurately, and efficiently.

  • Keep the work area clean and organized while collaborating with fellow technicians and the shop team to maintain efficient workflow.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional automotive repair experience.

  • A-Level or B-Level automotive repair capabilities, with the ability to complete assigned repairs independently from start to finish.

  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting and automotive diagnostic skills, including experience diagnosing drivability concerns.

  • Experience performing Digital Vehicle Inspections (DVI) and accurately documenting repair findings.

  • Demonstrated ability to complete automotive repairs efficiently while maintaining quality workmanship.

  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

  • Willingness to participate in ongoing technical training and professional development.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Pay: $45-$55 per hour.
