Experience Requirements

Platform Expertise & Administration
- Serve as the primary technical resource for ScienceLogic platform architecture, configuration, and best practices
- Design, implement, and optimize monitoring solutions across diverse technology stacks including servers, databases, network devices, applications, and cloud infrastructure
- Manage platform upgrades, patches, and enhancements while ensuring minimal disruption to monitoring services
- Configure and maintain collectors, dynamic applications, power packs, and custom monitoring solutions
Technical Leadership & Strategy
- Provide strategic direction for monitoring and observability roadmap aligned with business objectives
- Lead technical design sessions and architecture reviews for monitoring implementations
- Evaluate and recommend platform enhancements, integrations, and scalability improvements
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize monitoring coverage, alert accuracy, and incident response
Stakeholder Collaboration & Support
- Partner with cross-functional teams including infrastructure, application, database, network, and security teams
- Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) sessions and coordinate go-live activities for monitoring waves
- Provide expert guidance on alert policies, event correlation, threshold tuning, and incident management workflows
- Facilitate training sessions and create documentation for end users and technical teams
Integration & Automation
- Design and implement integrations with ServiceNow, CMDB, and other enterprise tools
- Develop automation workflows for device onboarding, maintenance mode management, and alert enrichment
- Configure SNMP traps, API integrations, and custom data collection methods
- Optimize ServiceNow event management and incident creation processes
Troubleshooting & Problem Resolution
- Investigate and resolve complex platform issues including collection failures, performance bottlenecks, and integration problems
- Coordinate with ScienceLogic vendor support and engineering teams for escalated issues
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for monitoring gaps or failures
- Monitor platform health, performance metrics, and capacity planning
Education: At least a bachelor s degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Software/Electronics Engineering, Information Systems, or a closely related field is required.
