Construction Coordinator III - QC Field Engineer (Coax/Fiber) - Contract
We are hiring two Construction Coordinator III professionals to support large-scale rural broadband deployments across the South Region (Memphis, TN to Little Rock, AR and Western Georgia near Dallas, GA), with expansion into the Northeast. This is a contract (1-3 years) opportunity focused on fiber and coax network construction, supporting high-impact infrastructure projects that bring connectivity to underserved communities.
This is a boots-on-the-ground role for someone who thrives in the field and wants real ownership. Required Skills & Experience
Strong Coax (CoAx) cable experience (required)
Fiber construction and/or telecom infrastructure experience
Field-based construction experience (telecom preferred)
Experience with Sphere / P2 (Comcast systems) or similar tools
Ability to work independently in a highly distributed environment
Strong documentation, reporting, and organizational skills
Willingness to travel extensively (up to 90%)
Desired Skills & Experience
Cable Maintenance Technician background
Experience performing field audits / quality control inspections
Familiarity with job tracking systems (JT/Polaris or similar)
Experience working with cross-functional telecom/construction teams
Exposure to rural broadband or large-scale infrastructure projects
What You Will Be Doing
Perform field audits on fiber and coax construction projects
Verify quality, completion, and compliance of construction work
Manage job lifecycle, including milestone tracking and updates
Validate permits, materials, invoices, and job closeouts
Troubleshoot field issues and confirm rework completion
Coordinate with internal teams across construction, project management, and operations
Participate in weekly calls and rotating phone support (8am-5pm availability required)
