Job OverviewRole Overview
We are seeking an experienced
Lead Data Engineer to lead the end-to-end data migration initiative from
ServiceNow ITSM to Salesforce Agentforce ITSM. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in enterprise data migration, ETL/ELT frameworks, data architecture, data governance, and cloud-based integration technologies.
The Lead Data Engineer will be responsible for designing migration strategies, defining source-to-target mappings, building scalable migration pipelines, ensuring data quality, and collaborating with business, ServiceNow, and Salesforce stakeholders to deliver a seamless transition.
Key Responsibilities
Data Migration Leadership
- Lead the design and execution of large-scale ServiceNow to Salesforce Agentforce ITSM data migration programs.
- Define migration strategy, migration waves, cutover plans, and rollback procedures.
- Establish data migration standards, frameworks, and best practices.
Data Analysis & Mapping
- Analyze ServiceNow ITSM data structures, including: Incidents Problems Changes Knowledge Articles CMDB Assets Service Catalog Requests & Tasks User and Group Data
- Design source-to-target mappings for Salesforce Agentforce ITSM objects.
- Document transformation, enrichment, and data validation rules.
ETL/ELT Development
- Design and develop scalable ETL/ELT pipelines for data extraction, transformation, and loading.
- Integrate ServiceNow APIs, databases, and exports with Salesforce data ingestion mechanisms.
- Leverage Salesforce Bulk APIs and data loading frameworks for high-volume data migration.
Data Quality & Governance
- Implement data profiling, cleansing, standardization, and deduplication processes.
- Develop reconciliation frameworks to ensure data completeness and accuracy.
- Monitor data validation metrics and address data anomalies proactively.
- Ensure compliance with enterprise data governance and security policies.
Salesforce Agentforce Data Enablement
- Support migration of service operations data into Salesforce Service Cloud and Agentforce environments.
- Optimize migrated data for Agentforce AI-driven support workflows and automations.
- Ensure relationships, hierarchies, and historical records are accurately migrated and maintained.
Technical Leadership
- Provide mentoring and technical guidance to data engineers and migration specialists.
- Conduct design reviews and code reviews.
- Collaborate with Salesforce Architects, ServiceNow SMEs, Product Owners, and Business Stakeholders.
Testing & Deployment
- Lead mock migrations, performance testing, UAT support, and production cutovers.
- Create migration dashboards, monitoring reports, and status communications.
- Drive issue resolution during deployment and hypercare phases.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or related field.
- 8-10 years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Integration, or Data Migration projects.
- Minimum 3+ years leading enterprise-scale migration initiatives.
- Strong experience with ServiceNow and Salesforce ecosystems.
- Proven experience migrating data across enterprise applications.
