Title: EDI Analyst
Location: Deerfield, IL
Duration: 4 - 5 Months (Temp. to Perm., based on performance)
This will be onsite at Deerfield, IL. 5 days a week for initial training, expectation 3-6 weeks depending on how fast the person ramps up, after that, the schedule can be hybrid, typically with at least two days per week in the office.
Work Schedule: Normal Business hours Monday - Friday

Description:
Responsible for working on a cross-functional team to support the development, testing, and deployment of our new revenue management system. The Senior EDI Analyst will also lead/support key initiatives, customer onboarding and identify key process improvements and deploy solutions. The candidate will test EDI transactions, review results, investigate defects, identify root causes, and work with IT to resolve issues. They will then retest the fixes and help close the defects

Essential Duties and Responsibilities.

- Lead and/or support the development of key EDI initiatives
- Identify and implement key process improvements and technical skill development opportunities.
- Ensure data standards are HIPAA, DSCSA and industry compliant and adhere to Client privacy and security policies.
- Collaborate with IT business partners, suppliers, and customers on key business initiatives and projects, and liaising with key stakeholders.

- Strong understanding of healthcard data exchange and compliance with regulations such as DSCSA, HIPAA, and GS1 and EDI languages such as: ANSI X12, XML/UBL, HTML.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues
- Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize work effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Solid understanding of EDI transactions and hands-on testing experience. Healthcare EDI experience is preferred, may consider a candidate without it if they know the relevant transactions well.
- EDI development knowledge would be a plus, as would UBL, XML, or IBM Transformation Extender experience. IT handles the actual development; this person should be able to explain issues and requirements clearly to the development team.
- The role is focused mainly on testing and defect resolution, with little customer onboarding. The candidate will also join regular project meetings and daily defect calls to report progress, explain issues, and discuss next steps.
Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, related field or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5-7 years experience in EDI, with a minimum of 1 year of customer service/customer facing experience, but open to candidates with fewer years if their EDI skills are strong.
- Strong knowledge of EDI standards, such as ANSI X12, XML/UBL, and HTML
- Experience with EDI software and EDI mapping tools
- Experience with 844, 845, 849, 852, and both inbound and outbound 867 is especially relevant. The transactions being tested may change from week to week as the project progresses
