Our client is a large U.S. banking organization headquartered in Cincinnati, Ohio. It operates over one thousand branches and a significant ATM network across multiple states. The institution is a Fortune 500 company and ranks among the largest banks in the United States. Its history traces to a 1908 merger of predecessor banks.

Rate: $65.00 to $70.00/hr. w2

Responsibilities:
Responsibilities
  • Coach Agile Squads on Agile and Scrum values, principles, and practices.
  • Facilitate Scrum events and ensure the team derives value from Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, Retrospective, and Backlog Refinement.
  • Guide Product Owners and Development Teams in effective Product Backlog management and shared understanding of outcomes and success criteria.
  • Promote self-organization, continuous improvement, cross-functionality, and software craftsmanship within the team.
  • Identify and remove impediments, escalating when necessary to appropriate organizational entities.
  • Foster a safe, trusting environment where problems can be raised and solved collaboratively.
  • Leverage data, feedback loops, and metrics to drive inspect-and-adapt practices.
  • Encourage teams to solve problems using Agile mindsets and improve performance and dynamics.
  • Facilitate neutral discussions to keep teams focused on delivering business value.
  • Collaborate across teams and with the Agile Center to improve effectiveness of all squad roles.
  • Shield teams from external requests and interference to maintain productivity.
  • Model servant leadership and continuous learning for teams and the organization.
  • Support risk identification, assessment, and reporting consistent with organizational policies.
  • Apply knowledge of software lifecycle disciplines and practices that support agility, including CI/CD and test automation.
  • Leverage concepts from Kanban, Scrumban, XP, and other agile ways of working as appropriate.

  • 5 or more years of full-time business experience.
  • 3 or more years of Scrum experience.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience presenting, teaching, mentoring, and facilitating at multiple organizational levels.
  • Experience communicating and removing impediments outside of the team.
  • Ability to resolve interpersonal and organizational conflicts and act as a mediator.
  • Coaching skills with the ability to communicate complex messages and teach new concepts.
  • Demonstrated ability to build trust, foster collaboration, and promote innovative thinking and self-improvement.
  • Understanding of all software lifecycle development disciplines including project management, requirements, analysis and design, quality assurance and testing, implementation, deployment, and change management.
  • Working knowledge of practices that support agility, such as Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment, Test Driven Development, and automated testing.
  • Working knowledge of other Agile frameworks and practices, including Kanban, Scrumban, XP, and mob programming.
  • Understanding of priorities and goal setting for teams and organizations in an agile business environment.
  • Ability to apply multiple approaches to remove squad impediments and facilitate communication, cooperation, and collaboration.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a directly related field, or equivalent work experience (preferred).
