Description

We are in the middle of a company-wide digital transformation focused on modernizing how we build internal tools, customer-facing applications, and AI-powered digital experiences. This role is a key contributor to that effort. You will be hands-on designing and building applications while also helping shape standards, patterns, and approaches for how digital products are delivered across the business. This is a high-ownership role with meaningful impact, well-suited for someone who thrives in small teams, values quality, takes initiative, and wants to help define the future state of a modern manufacturing organization.


Requirements
  • Design, build, and evolve modern digital applications for both internal teams and external customers.
  • Take initiative to improve solutions beyond the original request when clear business or user value exists.
  • Own the full development lifecycle, including drafting technical specifications, contributing to planning and estimation, implementing solutions, ensuring quality, and supporting delivery through production.
  • Work across the full stack using Next.js, React, SQL, APIs, and cloud services, with a bias toward action and continuous improvement.
  • Use AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor or Claude to move faster, raise quality, and explore better ways to solve problems.
  • Build and integrate AI-enabled features, including early agentic systems where appropriate, proactively identifying opportunities to apply AI in meaningful ways.
  • Design clean, scalable data models and contribute to data pipelines and integrations, anticipating future needs rather than just current requirements.
  • Develop and consume REST and event-based APIs with an ownership mindset around reliability and maintainability.
  • Partner closely with business stakeholders, asking thoughtful questions and pushing for clarity to ensure the right problems are being solved.
  • Take ownership of projects from concept through delivery and continuous improvement, driving momentum and follow-through.
  • Maintain a strong focus on user experience, performance, reliability, and code quality, holding a high personal bar for excellence.
  • Flex across initiatives as priorities evolve, stepping into gaps and new challenges as needed.

Technical Experience.

  • Proven experience building and shipping applications, not just contributing to isolated components.
  • Strong experience with Next.js and React.
  • Solid SQL skills and experience with relational data modeling.
  • Experience designing, building, and integrating APIs.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud-based platforms such as Azure, AWS, and third-party application services.
  • Experience using AI-assisted development tools as part of daily workflows.
  • Experience contributing to data pipelines or analytics-ready systems.
  • Exposure to agentic systems or AI orchestration frameworks is a plus.

Product and UX

  • Strong passion for user experience and usability, with a desire to make products better through iteration.
  • High attention to detail with a quality-focused mindset.
  • Ability to think in terms of workflows and outcomes, not just features.
