Role Descriptions:
Electrical Engineer to join our Enterprise Mobile Computing ECRT team.
You will lead the technical evaluation characterization and validation of secondary-source electrical components to secure supply chain resilience reduce BOM costs and maintain the rugged high-performance standards of Customer handheld tablet and wearable devices.
Component Evaluation: Proactively research evaluate and test alternative2nd-source electrical components (e.g. PMICs passive components memory connectivity modules and displays) to secure supply chain continuity and optimize costs.
Validation Testing: Design and execute comprehensive electrical test suites to validate that alternative components meet all functional performance and reliability requirements without degrading the host device.
Hands-on Hardware Debug: Operate advanced electrical test equipment such as Oscilloscopes digital multi-meters and power supplies to perform root cause analyses characterization and signal integrity testing.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with multidisciplinary teams including mechanical RF manufacturing and firmware engineering to ensure 2nd-source components integrate seamlessly into existing printed circuit board (PCB) designs.
Compliance & Reliability: Ensure all validated hardware changes adhere to ISO 9000 standards and ruggedized enterprise specifications (drop-spec temperature humidity and EMIEMC).
