Software Solution Architect – Rhapsody Developer & Admin

Note:
The organization is seeking two resources to support Rhapsody Health Development and Operations activities. There are two job descriptions associated with this requirement:

• One role is Development-focused

• One role is Operations/Admin-focused

Both roles:

• Are at the same rate

• Support the same team

• Have the same core skill requirements

• Differ slightly in day-to-day responsibilities

Top Skills & Years of Experience

Several years of experience in each of the following:

• Health Rhapsody Integration Engine (7.x)

• Rhapsody Developer Kit (RDK) for custom filters, mappers, etc.

• Custom message payload translation between formats (JSON, XML, HL7, proprietary/legacy)

• Web services and integrations: SOAP, REST, OAuth, TCP connections, LLP

• Transport encryption and security: TLS, certificate-based mutual authentication

• Rhapsody Certification (preferred)

Interview Process

• Virtual interview via MS Teams

• Screenshot photo of the candidate is required

• Vendor representative must be present at the beginning of the interview to validate the candidate

Duration

• 1 year with possible extension

Work Arrangement

• Open to local candidates and non-local candidates willing to relocate at their own expense

• Hybrid position: 2 days onsite per week upon start

• No remote-only option

Role Overview

This position is for a Software Solution Architect responsible for designing, implementing, supporting, and maintaining integration solutions using Rhapsody Health. The role supports enterprise-level message transmission tracking, interface services, system integrations, and secure data exchange across multiple applications.

The resource will:

• Support automated processes and system integrations

• Improve data integrity, compliance, and application security

• Participate in enhancement, integration, maintenance, and implementation activities

• Provide application oversight and technical guidance to analysts and integration teams

• Support ongoing and future integration initiatives critical to enterprise operations

Rhapsody Health Developer – Job Description

Position Summary

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Develop solutions for new use cases

• Build interfaces based on business requirements and specifications

• Create technical requirements and system designs

• Develop custom filters using Rhapsody Developer Kit (RDK)

• Create mappers and mapper definitions using EDI message designer

• Write JavaScript using Rhapsody JavaScript (v1) and JavaScript (v2) filters

• Develop API integrations using SOAP and REST

• Perform data format translations (HL7 v2, HL7 v3, FHIR, CDA, XML, JSON, flat files)

• Perform CDA mappings and conversions

• Prepare code review and SDLC documentation

• Develop database connections (MSSQL, Oracle)

• Configure TCP, HTTP, LLP, and OAuth connections

• Own overall system design, code, and configuration

Position Summary

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Analyze and resolve Rhapsody-related issues

• Perform code debugging and enhancements

• Handle Rhapsody maintenance activities

• Support server patching and application restarts

• Renew and install server certificates

• Support application system maintenance

• Install application certificates and resolve connection issues

• Manage error and hold queues, including reprocessing

• Monitor and respond to Rhapsody alerts

• Produce latency and response reports

• Generate monthly status reports

• Apply production fixes and code migrations

• Perform Rhapsody upgrades and related testing

• Communicate with users and external systems

• Manage Rhapsody memory and storage
