Job Title: Technical Consultant – DevOps Engineer

Duration: 4 Months

Location: Remote

This Technical Consultant role is being staffed first and foremost for DevOps engineering strength on the Salesforce platform. The consultant owns release management and the CI/CD pipeline for the ERAS engagement, keeping metadata moving safely and predictably from sandbox through production using Copado and GitHub.

Key Responsibilities

Release Engineering & CI/CD (Copado)

Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for Salesforce deployments, including pipeline configuration, promotion paths, and deployment automation.

Own end-to-end release management across the environment chain (Dev → QA → UAT → Staging → Production), coordinating release schedules with developers, admins, and QA.

Build and enforce automated quality gates within the pipeline: Apex test execution, static code analysis (PMD), and validation-only deployments before promotion.

Monitor pipeline health and lead troubleshooting on build or deployment failures, including rollback procedures

Required / Preferred Qualifications :

Salesforce CLI (SFDX): Hands-on proficiency with the Salesforce CLI for metadata retrieval/deployment, org management, and scripting release workflows (required).

DevOps / Release Management: 3+ years hands-on DevOps Engineer or Release Manager experience specifically on the Salesforce platform, with strong, demonstrated skills in Copado (pipelines, deployments, environment management) (required).

Version Control: Proficiency with GitHub, including branching strategies, pull request review, and Git-based version control for Salesforce metadata (required).

Salesforce Platform: Working knowledge of the Salesforce Metadata API and package-based deployment (unlocked packages / 2GP a plus).

Environment Management: Experience managing sandbox strategy and environment lifecycle in a multi-team delivery model.

Eligibility: U.S. Person, able to support a federal engagement requiring Public Trust / Clearance eligibility; may begin onboarding while that process is underway (required).
