We are seeking an experienced Project Manager 3 to provide leadership, oversight, accountability, and project management for large strategic projects and programs with high visibility at the executive level. This role involves managing complex initiatives with diverse stakeholders, vendor coordination, multiple integrated schedules, and significant executive communication.
Strategic projects typically span 2+ years, involve 50+ team members, and require executive-level reporting, risk management, and alignment with organizational priorities. The Project Manager will ensure adherence to established project management methodologies, oversee long-term release planning, manage project quality, and escalate risks/issues appropriately.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage stakeholder and vendor engagement with strong executive-level communication
• Lead monthly sponsor meetings and provide project health/status updates
• Establish and monitor project controls for cost, quality, and schedule management
• Ensure successful project planning, staffing, and reporting across the full project lifecycle
• Coordinate day-to-day project activities, deliverables, and team execution
• Perform risk management, issue escalation, and quality control activities
• Support overall departmental operational and strategic objectives
Required Qualifications:
• 5+ years of experience working effectively in matrix team environments
• 5+ years resolving complex, high-priority conflicts and competing requirements
• 5+ years of experience with data infrastructure concepts and data governance fundamentals
• 5+ years applying Project Management principles, methodologies, and best practices
• 5+ years of experience with SDLC methodologies for new systems and enhancements
• 5+ years of experience with data communications and information systems concepts
• 5+ years of stakeholder communication and requirement management experience
• 5+ years analyzing data, identifying issues, and delivering solutions
• 5+ years conducting training sessions and facilitating workshops
• 5+ years building consensus, facilitating discussions, and negotiating outcomes
• 5+ years managing stakeholder relationships and resolving issues effectively
Preferred Qualifications:
• Previous experience in government or public sector environments
• Experience across multiple related roles such as Project Manager, Program Manager, Project Coordinator, or similar leadership/support roles
