Corpay is seeking a highly strategic and results-oriented Lead Risk Analyst to join our North American Fuel division within the US Vehicle Payments (USVP) business, a $1B+ revenue portfolio. This role sits within the Risk Acquisitions Strategy team and is responsible for leading credit risk strategy development, analytics, and execution across the customer acquisition lifecycle.

As a lead individual contributor, you will own key risk strategies end-to-end, influence senior leadership decisions, and help shape the future of credit risk at Corpay. This role is ideal for someone who combines strong technical depth, business acumen, and leadership capability in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

This role reports to the Senior Director and is based in Atlanta, GA.

Role Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the role will include:

Strategy Ownership
  • Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of credit acquisition strategies to balance growth, risk, and customer experience
  • Own end-to-end acquisition risk performance and credit policy, including approval rates, credit losses, and decision strategy effectiveness
  • Partner with cross-functional leaders to align risk strategy with business objectives

Advanced Analytics and Modeling
  • Apply advanced analytics and statistical techniques to solve complex credit risk problems and uncover growth opportunities
  • Develop, validate, and monitor predictive models and decision frameworks to improve underwriting accuracy
  • Drive test-and-learn strategies including A/B testing and champion/challenger models to continuously optimize performance

Data Strategy and Infrastructure
  • Lead the development of scalable data pipelines (ETL) and analytical datasets to support risk decisioning
  • Evaluate and integrate internal and external data sources including credit bureau and alternative data to enhance predictive power
  • Oversee the development of risk dashboards, KPIs, and automated reporting frameworks

Risk Monitoring and Governance
  • Establish frameworks for ongoing monitoring of model performance, credit strategy tracking, portfolio trends, and emerging risks
  • Develop early warning systems and automated alerts to proactively identify and mitigate risk
  • Identify gaps in credit monitoring and drive enhancements in reporting and governance

Stakeholder Influence and Communication
  • Translate complex analytics into clear, actionable insights and strategic recommendations
  • Present findings and proposals to senior leadership
  • Influence key business decisions through data-driven storytelling and strong business acumen

Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or Computer Science; Master's degree preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in credit risk strategy, underwriting, or risk analytics, preferably in acquisition risk at a bank or fintech
  • Strong expertise in SQL and Python or R for large-scale data analysis and modeling
  • Proven track record of owning and delivering end-to-end risk strategies with measurable impact
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with BI and visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with ability to deliver business proposals and present to senior management
  • Ability to collaborate well with business partners and influence business decisions

  • Experience in near-prime or small business lending, or credit cards
  • Familiarity with credit bureau and alternative data sources
  • Experience with machine learning models and model lifecycle management
  • Proven ability to thrive and deliver results in fast-paced environments
