Employment Type: Full Time

Hourly Rate: W2: $48-$58/hour

Overview:


We are seeking a Business Analyst, Level 2, who will support our NYS client. The Business Analyst will serve as a liaison between business units; supporting requirements validation, quality assurance, design confirmation, and product adoption. This role will translate business needs into actionable requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, process documentation, and functional designs that support legacy replacement and workflow modernization efforts.


Duties:
  • Translate business needs into requirements for a technical audience, including user stories, use cases, acceptance criteria, feature overviews, and detailed functional and technical designs.
  • Work within a cross-functional team to ensure solutions meet business, customer, and stakeholder needs.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders during product visioning, concept development, backlog prioritization, and business objective definition.
  • Conduct gap analysis, identify process improvement opportunities, and develop business process models, workflows, and supporting documentation.
  • Support project management activities including planning, testing, implementation coordination, requirements validation, and design confirmation.
  • Analyze data to support decision-making, strategic planning, and product feature clarification.
  • Participate in client and stakeholder interactions to collect business requirements and help drive product adoption.
  • Serve as a point of contact for product feature clarification and provide internal consulting support to business and technical teams.
  • Facilitate JAD sessions, one-on-one stakeholder meetings, and requirements discussions with subject matter experts and users.
  • Define test scenarios and conditions, create test plans, and facilitate testing according to plan in support of UAT.


Mandatory Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst on legacy replacement systems and workflow development projects.
    • Experience eliciting, analyzing, documenting, and validating business and technical requirements from stakeholders.
    • Ability to translate business needs into user stories, use cases, acceptance criteria, feature overviews, and functional and technical documentation.
    • Ability to work closely with multiple subject matter experts and create clear, concise documentation.
    • Strong customer-centric mindset with a passion for understanding and addressing customer needs.
    • Innovative, proactive approach to problem-solving with strong attention to detail and a focus on quality and excellence.
    • Ability to multi-task and work effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects and tasks of varying complexity.
  • Ability to facilitate JAD sessions and one-on-one meetings with users and stakeholders.
  • Ability to define test scenarios and conditions, create test plans, and facilitate testing according to plan in support of UAT.

Desirable Qualifications:
  • Experience working in pension administration environments.
  • Experience with Salesforce configuration.
  • Scrum experience.
  • Product Owner experience.


Educational & Certification Requirements:
  • Bachelor''s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience combined with education
  • Relevant business analysis, Agile, Scrum, Salesforce, or Product Owner certifications are preferred.
