Role: Network Engineer
Location: Sanford, FL (Onsite)
Job Type: Contract-To-Hire

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to design, implement, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise IT infrastructure, including network, wireless, voice, security, and video systems. The ideal candidate will have strong Cisco networking expertise, excellent troubleshooting skills, and the ability to support complex network environments while delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, configure, monitor, and troubleshoot Cisco networks, switches, routers, wireless systems, and firewalls.
  • Manage network monitoring using SolarWinds or similar tools and support Cisco Catalyst Center.
  • Support Cisco Call Manager, Unity, and Webex voice technologies.
  • Troubleshoot network protocols, including OSPF, BGP, and Multicast.
  • Manage ServiceNow tickets, incidents, service requests, SLAs, and escalations.
  • Maintain technical documentation, network configurations, and IT asset inventories.
  • Collaborate with IT teams, lead technical projects, and ensure network reliability and performance.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in a related field and 5 years of IT systems analysis and design experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Cisco switches, routers, and wireless technologies.
  • Knowledge of network architecture, troubleshooting, and enterprise IT infrastructure.
  • Experience with network monitoring tools and ticketing systems.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, problem-solving, and customer service skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Cisco CCNA certification.
  • Experience with Check Point or Palo Alto firewalls, Cisco voice technologies, server/storage, and Microsoft environments.
  • Project management experience.
