Quality Control Tester

Location: Remote

Role Overview

We are seeking a Quality Control Tester to create and execute test cases and validation activities for a TPA healthcare program implementation. This includes system, interoperability, data migration, security, and compliance testing. The role involves collaborating with cross-vendor and multi-contractor teams to ensure alignment with program timelines and requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create and execute test cases and validation activities for TPA healthcare program implementation, including system, interoperability, data migration, security, and compliance testing.
  • Collaborate with cross-vendor and multi-contractor teams to ensure alignment with program timelines and requirements.
  • Document test results, defects, and remediation cycles in accordance with federal program standards and governance frameworks.
  • Support requirements traceability across test scenarios, execution, results, and defect remediation.
  • Participate in defect triage, prioritization, remediation, and retesting within required timeframes.
  • Assist in the delivery of incremental and final system testing results, including coverage metrics and detailed documentation.
  • Coordinate with the Test Manager and Security team to ensure all testing activities meet federal, security, and compliance requirements (HIPAA, 508, NIST/FIPS).
  • Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and Dry Run activities, validating accuracy and integrity of migrated data, including historical claims and member information.
  • Contribute to executive-level dashboards, status updates, and readiness assessments as requested.
Required Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field. Relevant additional experience may be substituted in lieu of degree requirements.

Experience: 3+ years of experience in quality control, integration testing, or related roles within healthcare or government contract environments, with a focus on manual testing, UI screens, and writing SQL queries.

Technical Skills: Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, and SQL, with an emphasis on backend testing. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevSecOps pipelines. Experience with test and defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira), performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter), and test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress). An understanding of CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitLab CI/CD, along with knowledge of cloud platforms like Azure, is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Hands-on experience with automated testing frameworks and AI/GenAI-based tools for test case generation and automation acceleration.
  • Experience working within secure federal environments.
