Location: Columbia, SC (Department of Administration)
Duration: 12 Months
Work Location: Role is hybrid, with onsite days 2-3 days a week and remote date being 2-3 days a week as well at the manager s discretion. Candidate location: Candidate must be a CURRENT SC resident. No relocation allowed. Minimum 2 professional references within the last five years.
Required Skills (rank in order of Importance):
7+ years of experience with SAP Finance or Treasury/Cash Management experience
3+ years of experience with SAP S4 HANA
7+ years of experience with ECC FI module experience
10+ years of experience with practical SAP upgrades, OSS notes, support packs and troubleshooting
10+ years of experience of SAP within the Public Sector
7+ Years of experience in budgeting, appropriations, grants, and governmental accounting
Preferred Skills (rank in order of Importance):
Experience with full lifecycle SAP implementations
MS Office tools (e.G. Word, Excel, Visio, Project)
Additional Skills:
Experience leading workshops and working with executive leadership

Scope of the project:
The Division of Enterprise Applications (DEA) seeks an experienced consultant with expertise in SAP S4 HANA, specifically within Public Sector Finance and Treasury modules to support implementation, optimization and operational readiness initiatives. The consultant will provide strategic guidance, process documentation, functional expertise, testing leadership and knowledge transfer.
Responsibilities will include:
Administration of SAP FI and Treasury functionality to include ancillary applications utilized by the state.
Provide services related to process design, development, testing and on-going maintenance of enterprise-wide software.
Developing Current state and future-state process documentation in DEA s documentation
management process format.
Provide best-practice recommendations for public sector financial and treasury operations.
Role:
Develops documentation adhering to DEA team standards.
o Create comprehensive current-state documentation for Finance & Treasury functions.
o Create future-state documentation reflecting changes required for the SAP platform upgrade.
o Partner with team leaders, business process owners, and DEA leadership to validate and approve documentation.
Collaborate with analysts, designers, and system owners in the testing of SAP software programs and applications.
Provides SAP Finance and Treasury support including analysis, development, testing, tracking and resolution.
Demonstrates a logical and structured approach to time management and task prioritization.
Demonstrates a high level of communication skills, verbal and written.
Mentors less experienced team members on SAP programming concepts and tool suite.
Participates in team activities and team planning.
Assist with upgrades, support packs, and the development of test plans to validate solutions and components.
Assist with defining hardware specifications and the current SCEIS landscape as required for addition functionality being implemented.
Assist with creation of a high-level implementation roadmap for the above solutions.
Identify impacts from ECC to S4 HANA changes related to Finance and Treasury.
Unit test development and execution, including test script development.
Provide after-hours support for the SAP system as needed.
