Senior Java AWS Developer

Pay Range: $70 - $75/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

• Key skills: - Core Java 11 streams, data structures, algorithms, Rest API development (coding exercise will be part of the interview process)
• Strong event-driven architecture experience, strong experience with messaging and streaming services such as Kafka and SQS
• The team creates their own database at minimum, strong SQL (experience creating tables, version control for database (ex. Liquibase).
• Relational database experience. Must have noSQL experience with some database (MongoDB, DynamoDB)
• Must have AWS provisioning skills, not just deployment. AWS CloudFormation Templates or Terraform, SQS, EKS, Lambda, DynamoDB, RDS, S3, Kinesis
• Strong hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Must have experience developing CI/CD pipelines from scratch
• Strong communication and mentorship abilities
• 8 years of software engineering experience delivering scalable, high? Quality backend services.
• Strong Hands-on software development experience with Java 11 , frameworks such as Spring Boot, Spring Batch, and RESTful API development.
• Strong backend engineering skills including microservices design, event? driven architecture, messaging (Kafka/SQS),caching (Redis), and SQL/NoSQL data modeling.
• Familiarity with AWS Toolsets, including but not limited to SQS, Lambda, DynamoDB, RDS, S3, Kinesis,CloudFormation, and other cloud?native services.
• Demonstrated experience designing, building, and documenting customer?facing RESTful APIs with security,performance, and scalability best practices.
• Knowledge in Container technologies (Docker and Kubernetes).
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to ensure smooth and automated delivery of applications into production environments.
• Knowledge of relational and NoSQL database management systems.
• Working knowledge of testing frameworks like Junit, Mockito, Spring Test.
