Job Description
  • The Gen AI Technology Strategy Leader - Institutional Bank is responsible for leading a team of engineers in the design, development, delivery, and operational support of Generative AI (GenAI) solutions aligned to business-prioritized initiatives across the Institutional Bank.
  • This role serves as the technology execution counterpart to the Institutional Bank AI Strategy Leader, translating AI strategy, use cases, and business priorities into secure, scalable, and production-ready technology solutions. The position combines people leadership, hands-on technical oversight, delivery accountability, and risk-aware execution within a regulated banking environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Engineering Leadership & Delivery
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of software and AI engineers responsible for delivering Institutional GenAI solutions.
  • Maintain hands-on engagement through various GenAI intake processes, third party management, model risk, legal, and architecture reviews
  • Own delivery and support of GenAI applications, platforms, and environments from ideation through production and steady-state operations.

GenAI Solution Execution
  • Partner closely with the Institutional Bank AI Strategy Leader to translate business-prioritized AI use cases into executable technical roadmaps and delivery plans.
  • Design and implement Generative AI solution patterns aligned to enterprise platforms and standards.
  • Drive a build-to-scale approach by promoting reuse of common components, services, and patterns across Institutional use cases.

Production Support & Operational Excellence
  • Ensure successful implementation of GenAI solutions into production and effective transition to support models.
  • Oversee production support activities, enhancements, and issue resolution for GenAI platforms and applications.
  • Partner with infrastructure, security, and platform teams to ensure availability, resiliency, performance, and cost efficiency.

Governance, Risk, Compliance, & Cross Functional Collaboration
  • Ensure GenAI solutions comply with enterprise technology standards, data governance, security, privacy, and model risk management requirements.
  • Partner with Risk, Compliance, Legal, and Model Risk teams to support required documentation, controls, and ongoing monitoring.
  • Apply responsible AI practices appropriate for a regulated financial institution.
  • Collaborate with Business Technology Managers, enterprise architecture, data engineering, AI/ML platform teams, QA, and project management partners.

Qualifications:

Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related technical field (required)
  • Master's Degree in a technology-related discipline (preferred)

Experience
  • 8+ years of experience in software engineering, platform delivery, or technology solution leadership
  • 3+ years of experience managing and developing engineering teams
  • Experience delivering technology solutions in financial services or other regulated environments (preferred)
  • Core Skills & Competencies
  • Strong engineering leadership and delivery management capabilities
  • Ability to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions
  • Knowledge of modern software development and agile delivery practices
  • Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and enterprise data platforms
  • Strong communication skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to operate within governance-heavy, risk-managed environments

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $116,000.00 - $216,000.00 annually. Placement within the pay range may differ based upon various factors, including but not limited to skills, experience and geographic location. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for incentive compensation which may include production, commission, and/or discretionary incentives.
