Summary

Key Responsibilities
Design & Standards Partnership -
Represent IT's technical requirements in design discussions with Facilities, the architect,
the general contractor, and the retained AV/acoustical design consultant for multiple
initiatives. -
Ensure every conference room, the Board Room, and the All Hands Room are designed
to Twist's existing platform standard: Zoom software + Neat hardware/software, with
Google Calendar-based scheduling and one-touch join.

Review AV/IT infrastructure designs (network drops, PoE, cable pathways, rack
elevations, display/camera/microphone placement) for alignment with IT network and
security standards. -
Work with the design firm's acoustical team to ensure sound isolation, sound masking,
and room treatment recommendations are practically integrated without compromising
AV performance.
Project Management -
Act as IT's project manager and point of contact for AV/conferencing scope from design
through commissioning and handoff. - - -
Own AV-specific timelines, budgets, punch lists, and risk/issue logs; escalate to IT
leadership as needed.
Coordinate procurement and staging of Zoom Rooms hardware (Neat Bar, Neat Board,
Neat Pad, or successor models), maintaining consistent room kits/templates across
sites.
Sequence room-readiness activities against Facilities/construction milestones (power,
network drops, ceiling/wall work) to avoid schedule slippage.
Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination -
Serve as the day-to-day liaison between IT and the retained AV/acoustical design firm
throughout the buildout, ensuring deliverables meet IT's functional and security
requirements. - - -
Coordinate directly with Avidex to ensure design documentation, as-built drawings,
network diagrams, and credentials/access are handed off cleanly for a smooth transition
into their ongoing support scope, including any needed training.
Support Facilities and the general contractor on AV-related construction coordination
(low-voltage rough-in, cabling, power) at both 681 and Carlsbad.
Coordinate with Twist's internal Google Workspace/Calendar admin and Zoom admin to
ensure calendar resources and room scheduling are correctly provisioned for every new
room.
Technical/AV Systems Expertise -
Bring deep, hands-on knowledge of Zoom Rooms and Neat hardware/software,
including provisioning, one-touch join, and Google Calendar resource integration. - - -
Advise on standardized room templates by type/size (huddle, standard conference room,
Board Room, All Hands Room) to keep configurations consistent across 681 and
Carlsbad.
Partner with IT Infrastructure on network readiness for AV endpoints
(VLAN/segmentation, QoS, PoE budgets, wireless coverage for control systems).
Lead or participate in acceptance testing/commissioning of each room prior to
occupancy — validating audio, video, control, and calendar integration.
Documentation & Handoff -
Maintain a master room inventory/tracker (room name, hardware, network configuration,
calendar resource, commissioning status) across projects. - -
Ensure complete as-built documentation, warranty information, and training materials are
delivered to Avidex and IT before go-live.
Capture standards and lessons learned to streamline future site buildouts.
Required Qualifications - - - - - - -
5+ years of experience in enterprise AV systems design, project management, or AV/IT
consulting, ideally supporting corporate conferencing environments (Board Rooms, All
Hands/town hall spaces, standard conference rooms).
Direct, hands-on experience with Zoom Rooms and Neat hardware/software in an
enterprise environment.
Experience with Google Calendar/Google Workspace resource scheduling integration
for conference room systems.
Demonstrated experience managing AV scope within a larger office buildout or
construction project, coordinating across Facilities, general contractors, and
AV/acoustical design consultants.
Working knowledge of core networking concepts relevant to AV (VLANs, QoS, PoE,
basic troubleshooting) sufficient to partner effectively with IT Infrastructure and Security.
Strong independent project management skills — able to run timelines, budgets, and
multiple stakeholders across concurrent sites.
Excellent written and verbal communication; comfortable presenting to and coordinating
across IT, Facilities, executives, and external vendors.
Preferred Qualifications - - - - - -
AVIXA certification(s) — CTS, CTS-D, or CTS-I.
Neat and/or Zoom vendor certification(s).
Working familiarity with acoustical design concepts (STC ratings, sound masking)
sufficient to collaborate effectively with an acoustical consultant.
Prior experience supporting a life sciences, biotech, or other
security-conscioregulated industry.
Experience standardizing AV room templates across more than one corporate site.
Experience with AV managed-services transition/handoff processes (e.g., transitioning a
project to a support vendor like Avidex).
