Job Description HII, Mission Technologies is seeking a seeking an Engineering Technician to support the Aircraft Prototype Systems Division at NAS Pax River. A successful candidate will have strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with engineers and other team members.
Will apply learned technical knowledge to research, and design, aircraft system integrations consisting of avionics, wiring harnesses, wiring assemblies and various assocated mechanical assemblies/parts.
Essential Job Responsibilities - Responsible for execution and tracking of aircraft modifications.
- Design and analyze electrical/electronic circuits, schematics, and complex interconnect wiring systems.
- Fabricate harnesses and wiring assemblies.
- Lead and organize installations on aircraft.
- Draft, review, and document technical/safety/security instructions and procedures.
- Assist in drafting Test Plans and Procedures as required.
- Test and analyze systems with various test equipment including Multimeters, Oscilloscopes, Power Systems and Data Acquisition Systems.
- Perform analysis of digital, analog, and RF signal waveforms.
- Perform complex calculations in MS Excel.
Minimum Qualifications - Associates Degree or other 2 year technical degree in related discipline and 1 year of related experience; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 3 years related (DoD/USN) experience.
- Knowledge of elecrical/electronic principles and familiarization with aircraft.
- Experience working with various test equipment and have troubleshooting experience.
- Experience with circuit design and analysis of schematics.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel.
- Clearance: An active secret level security clearance is required.
Preferred Requirements - Experience with MATLAB and AutoCad is highly preferred.
Physical Requirements - Job performance requires adequate visual acuity and manual dexterity for meeting the requirements of the job. A waterfront office work environment is normally encountered.
