Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled z/OS Systems Programmer to support mainframe automation, monitoring, and system operations in a large-scale enterprise environment. The ideal candidate will work closely with engineering and infrastructure teams to ensure system reliability, performance, and automation efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with engineering teams to evaluate hardware/software interfaces and define system requirements
Maintain and enhance mainframe software systems and automation processes
Develop and execute system testing and validation procedures
Provide updates on project status, technical design, and system performance
Troubleshoot system issues and implement effective resolutions
Support full SDLC activities including analysis, requirements gathering, development, testing, and deployment
Create and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and knowledge base content
Monitor systems, manage alerts, and improve system resiliency through automation

Required Skills:

Strong experience with z/OS (MVS) in large-scale, multi-Sysplex environments (including IPL procedures)
Hands-on experience with JES2, SDSF, RACF, TSO, TCP/IP, Control-M, CICS, DB2
Expertise in NetView customization and REXX programming
Experience with IBM System Automation (SA z/OS) including policy database and automation tables
Knowledge of SA-plex and cross-system automation
Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and problem resolution skills
Experience with monitoring and event management tools

Nice to Have:

Experience with OPS/MVS
Knowledge of ITSM/ITIL processes
Event management experience
Python scripting in Unix System Services
