Job Duties:
  • Utilizing engineering background, provide pre-sales and/or post-sales technical customer support including implementation, training, and maintenance support for Electronic Design Automation (EDA) and semiconductor intellectual property (IP).
  • Utilize graduate-level research and analysis skills and engineering background to give presentations on the technical capabilities of Cadence tools and flows.
  • Recognize opportunities for products and work with account team to define and execute technical campaigns.
  • Support technical evaluations/benchmarks and drive the process to deliver Cadence solutions implementations.
  • Provide ongoing support and usage proliferation.
  • Work closely with Research and Development on tools and methodology.
  • Evaluate project work to ensure effectiveness, technical adequacy, or compatibility in the resolution of complex electronics engineering problems.
  • Analyze electronics system requirements, capacity, cost, or customer needs to determine project feasibility.
  • Confer with engineers and customers to discuss existing or potential electronics engineering projects or products.
  • Operate computer-assisted engineering or design software to perform electronics engineering tasks.
  • Prepare necessary criteria, procedures, reports, or plans for successful conduct of the project with consideration given to site preparation, facility validation, installation, quality assurance, or testing.
  • Provide technical support or instruction to staff or customers regarding electronics equipment standards.
  • Represent employer at conferences, meetings, boards, panels, committees, or working groups to present and explain recommendations or exchange information.
  • Some telecommuting permitted.
  • Must be available to work on projects at various, unanticipated sites throughout the United States.

Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • Knowledge of electrical circuit design, schematics, and PCB design
  • Electromagnetics, and RF related to PCB Design
  • Basic knowledge of high-speed design, signal integrity and electrical constraints definition
  • Utilizing customer designs and design flows/environments to validate the viability of solutions
  • Knowledge of current technical concepts associated with PCB engineering data management
  • Fundamental knowledge of PCB manufacturing requirements and knowledge of checking process for design for manufacturing, assembly, and test
  • IC physical implementation tools such as Cadence Virtuoso
  • Must be available to work on projects at various, unanticipated sites throughout the United States.
