SAP BI, HANA Reporting Lead

We are seeking an experienced SAP BI / HANA Reporting Lead to lead the design, development, and delivery of enterprise reporting and analytics solutions using SAP HANA, SAP Business Objects, and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC). The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing HANA-based data models, delivering advanced analytics solutions, and leading reporting initiatives to support business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and development of SAP HANA data models, including calculation views, attribute views, and analytical views.

• Develop and maintain enterprise reporting solutions using SAP Business Objects (Web Intelligence, Crystal Reports, and Dashboards).

• Design and implement advanced analytics and dashboards using SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC).

• Work closely with business stakeholders and functional teams to gather reporting and analytics requirements.

• Optimize HANA models and reporting performance for large datasets and complex queries.

• Ensure data accuracy, governance, and consistency across BI reporting solutions.

• Provide technical leadership and guidance to BI developers and reporting teams.

• Collaborate with data engineering and SAP teams for integration with SAP S/4HANA, SAP BW, or other source systems.

• Support data replication and integration processes, including SAP Smart Data Access (SDA) where applicable.

• Participate in architecture discussions and BI strategy planning.

• Perform performance tuning, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis for reporting issues.

• Create and maintain technical documentation, data models, and reporting standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong experience with SAP HANA Modeling and HANA Studio / Web IDE.

• Hands-on experience with SAP Business Objects (BOBJ) reporting tools such as WebI and Crystal Reports.

• Advanced experience with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) for dashboards and analytics.

• Strong understanding of data modeling, SQL, and reporting architecture.

• Experience with performance optimization in SAP HANA.

• Ability to translate business requirements into technical reporting solutions.

• Strong leadership and stakeholder communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of SAP Smart Data Access (SDA) replication process.

• Experience with SAP BW / BW on HANA or S/4HANA integration.

• Exposure to data warehousing and ETL concepts.

• Experience in enterprise BI strategy and architecture.

Education:

• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience:

• Typically 8+ years of experience in SAP BI / HANA reporting and analytics, with experience leading BI initiatives.
