Resource Management Concepts, Inc. (RMC) is seeking a skilled Linux Engineer to join our team in support of our government clients. The Linux Engineer will be responsible for the administration, maintenance, and enhancement of Linux-based systems to ensure secure, reliable, and efficient operation in compliance with DoD standards.
- Administer and support Linux servers and workstations, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Apply patches and security configurations according to DoD Information Assurance standards including STIG compliance.
- Perform troubleshooting and resolve hardware, software, and network issues related to Linux environments.
- Collaborate with cyber security teams to implement NIST and Risk Management Framework (RMF) guidelines.
- Manage and automate system configurations and deployments using scripting tools such as Bash, Python and Ansible.
- Support virtualization environments and distributed file systems.
- Document system changes, maintenance, and troubleshooting activities thoroughly.
Requirements- Minimum of 4 years of experience administering Linux systems (Red Hat Enterprise Linux preferred).
- Experience with security compliance including DISA STIGs and RMF processes.
- Familiarity with network services such as Active Directory, DNS, and Group Policy.
- Strong scripting skills in Bash, Python, Ansible experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware).
- DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification or higher (e.g., Security+, CySA+).
- An active DoD Top Secret security clearance is required to start.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.

Salary at RMC is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, a candidate's specific combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific requirements. The current salary range for this position will be $110,000 to $130,000 (annually).
