Summary

Avanciers are seeking an Environmental Engineer to support sustainability initiatives across manufacturing operations, including Mission to Zero (Decarbonization), Zero Waste to Landfill, emissions reduction, and Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) programs. This role is primarily remote with occasional travel to manufacturing sites.

Responsibilities

Support Zero Waste to Landfill and Mission to Zero (Decarbonization) initiatives.
Lead waste minimization, recycling, diversion, and emissions reduction projects.
Partner with manufacturing sites to develop project charters, budgets, resource plans, and implementation strategies.
Support Scope 1 & Scope 2 emissions reduction programs.
Perform Life Cycle Assessments (LCA), Environmental Product Declarations (EPD), and circularity assessments.
Develop sustainability dashboards using Power BI, SharePoint, and Microsoft Office.
Analyze sustainability data, prepare reports, presentations, and business cases.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide technical support during site visits.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor''s or Master''s degree in Environmental, Sustainability, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
Experience as an Environmental Engineer, Sustainability Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, Project Engineer, or LCA Analyst.
Experience supporting sustainability initiatives within manufacturing environments.
Knowledge of Zero Waste, waste minimization, emissions reduction, industrial decarbonization, energy efficiency, LCA, EPD, and circular economy.
Strong project management, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency with Power BI, SharePoint, and Microsoft Office.
Valid U.S. Driver''s License and authorization to work in the U.S.

Preferred

Experience with Zero Waste to Landfill programs.
Experience with Scope 1 & Scope 2 emissions reduction.
Experience developing sustainability dashboards and ESG reporting.
