RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Jira Administrator in Austin, TX.

Overview
The Jira Administrator is responsible for designing, standardizing, and governing Jira Service Management and core Jira configurations to support scalable, secure, and efficient enterprise operations. This role partners closely with business, product, and migration teams to simplify complex environments and prepare for Jira Cloud transformation.

Key Responsibilities:
Target State Design & Architecture:
* Design a simplified, standardized target architecture for Jira components including Issue Type, Workflow, Permission, Notification, and Field Configuration schemes
* Lead consolidation of existing schemes into a reduced, reusable set that supports diverse organizational needs
* Analyze and optimize custom fields to eliminate redundancy, retire obsolete fields, and promote reuse
* Define governance policies, standards, and guardrails for creating and managing fields and configurations post-migration
* Manage system changes and updates to ensure long-term platform stability

Analysis & Gap Assessment:
* Rapidly assess and document the current Jira Data Center/Server environment, identifying pain points, dependencies, and technical debt
* Partner with business and product leaders to map current requirements to standardized target schemes while preserving or improving functionality
* Perform impact assessments related to scheme standardization, automations, and integrations across user groups

Preparation for Transformation:
* Provide architectural guidance to migration teams to ensure Jira Cloud readiness
* Define data transformation rules and mappings for issues, workflows, and fields during migration
* Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with best practices throughout the transformation process

REQUIREMENTS:
* To be considered for this position, candidates must have experience in a similar role, or they must possess significant knowledge, experience, and abilities to successfully perform the responsibilities listed
* Relevant education and/or training will be considered a plus

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
