Role Overview
This organization is seeking a techno-functional Oracle Cloud Finance / EPM Developer for a 6+ month contract. The ideal candidate is a hands-on developer who can both design and build solutions within the Oracle Cloud ecosystem. This role involves partnering with business stakeholders to gather requirements, creating design documents, architecting solutions, and delivering them through configuration and development, including building custom objects and APIs.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements and create design documents for proposed solutions.
- Design, architect, and deliver solutions via configuration or development, including building custom objects and developing APIs and web services.
- Serve as a senior Oracle Cloud FSCM and EPM application solution developer, deploying custom solutions using native Oracle Cloud tools.
- Design, configure, and optimize solutions across Oracle Cloud Finance (GL, AP, AR, Asset Management), SCM (Procurement), Grants, P2P, and EPM modules.
- Develop and support custom extensions and applications using tools such as VBCS, APEX, ATP, and REST APIs.
- Write and maintain PL/SQL code and complex SQL queries to support reporting, reconciliation, and troubleshooting.
- Ensure solutions adhere to Oracle Cloud best practices, performance standards, and security guidelines.
- Stay current on Oracle Cloud ERP and EPM quarterly updates to assess impacts and identify opportunities for improvement.
Required Qualifications
Education: A Bachelor's degree is required. Additional job-related experience may substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
Experience: A minimum of seven years of experience is required in supporting and developing solutions for Oracle Cloud ERP and/or EPM. This includes senior-level experience with Finance, SCM, and Budget/Hierarchy management.
Technical Skills:- Techno-functional capability in Oracle Cloud with experience in both design and hands-on development.
- Expertise in Oracle Cloud Finance modules including General Ledger (GL), Budget, Asset Management (AM), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Purchasing (PO), Grants, Procure-to-Pay (P2P), and EPM.
- Strong hands-on experience with Budget Manager, financial hierarchies, workflow, Fast Formulas, and Smart View calculations.
- Experience with Visual Builder Cloud Service (VBCS), Oracle APEX, Oracle Autonomous Transaction Processing (ATP), and REST APIs.
- Proficiency in PL/SQL and SQL for creating complex queries.
- Deep understanding of Oracle Cloud integrations, data flow, and system architecture.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a higher education or public sector environment.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements such as FERPA, HIPAA, SOC 2, or TAC 202.
- Experience supporting complex finance, SCM, and EPM reporting environments.
- Familiarity with Oracle ERP-EPM integrations.
