Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior Embedded Software Test Engineer to develop and execute test plans for embedded software, firmware, and hardware-integrated products. This is primarily a software testing role with some firmware and hardware validation. You''ll work closely with engineering and quality teams to ensure product quality through manual and automated testing.
Responsibilities

Create and execute test plans, test cases, and test protocols.
Perform manual and automated testing of embedded systems.
Validate software, firmware, and hardware functionality.
Troubleshoot defects, perform root cause analysis, and verify fixes.
Document test results and prepare detailed test reports.
Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to improve product quality.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor''s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (preferred).
2–5 years of experience creating test plans, test cases, and test protocols.
2+ years of embedded software testing (manual and automated).
Experience troubleshooting issues and performing root cause analysis.
Basic understanding of firmware and hardware testing.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience using command-line tools.
Working knowledge of C++ or C#.
Medical device/FDA experience.
Familiarity with 510(k) regulatory submissions.

Additional Information

Individual contributor role with minimal supervision.
Standard 40-hour workweek.
Team size: 7 engineers.
