Role Summary
We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Java Developer to join our Healthcare Digital Transformation team. In this role, you will lead the design and development of member-facing health portals and clinical data management systems. You will be responsible for building scalable, secure, and high-performing applications that handle millions of prescriptions, claims, and sensitive patient records daily.
The ideal candidate should have strong experience in the Java ecosystem and modern frontend frameworks, along with mandatory healthcare domain experience and a strong understanding of HIPAA compliance and data security.
Key Responsibilities
Architecture & Development:
Lead the end-to-end design and implementation of microservices-based architectures using Java 17+ and Spring Boot.
Frontend Development:
Develop responsive and high-performance user interfaces using Angular or React, ensuring a seamless experience for healthcare members and providers.
Healthcare Integration:
Build and maintain integrations with Electronic Health Records (EHR) and Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) systems using HL7 and FHIR data standards.
Database Management:
Design optimized schemas for complex healthcare data using RDBMS (PostgreSQL/Oracle) and NoSQL (MongoDB/Cassandra).
Security & Compliance:
Implement robust security protocols (OAuth2, OpenID Connect) and ensure all code complies with HIPAA and HITRUST regulations for protecting Personal Health Information (PHI).
Cloud & DevOps:
Deploy and manage applications in cloud-native environments (AWS or Azure) using Docker and Kubernetes.
Mentorship:
Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers on clean coding practices and test-driven development (TDD).
Required Skills & Qualifications
Experience: Minimum 8+ years in Full Stack Development
Healthcare domain experience is mandatory
Backend: Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Spring Security, Hibernate/JPA
Frontend: Experience with Angular (14+) or React.js, TypeScript, NgRx/Redux
API Development: Strong experience in RESTful APIs and GraphQL
Messaging: Experience with Apache Kafka or RabbitMQ
Testing: Experience with JUnit, Mockito, Selenium, or Cypress
Tools: Git, Maven/Gradle, Jenkins or GitLab CI/CD
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) workflows or Claims Processing
Knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid compliance standards
Familiarity with Accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1) for healthcare portals
