Job Details

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Prepare engineering plans, calculations, technical reports, and supporting documentation for land development projects
  • Design grading, drainage, stormwater management, water quality systems, utility infrastructure, and site improvements
  • Develop construction plans and design documents for residential and commercial developments
  • Coordinate project activities with internal departments, outside consultants, agencies, and clients
  • Participate in project design reviews, production meetings, and project planning discussions
  • Assist with project requirements, scheduling, cost estimates, and implementation strategies
  • Lead permitting efforts with local, state, and federal agencies
  • Ensure compliance with zoning ordinances, municipal requirements, and development regulations
  • Resolve field design issues during construction and provide technical support to project stakeholders

Qualifications (Needed)

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
  • EIT certification required; Florida PE license strongly preferred
  • Minimum 3-8+ years of Civil Engineering and Land Development experience
  • Strong experience designing residential, commercial, and site development projects
  • Experience with grading, drainage, stormwater systems, utility design, and permitting
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Experience performing stormwater modeling utilizing ICPR and/or SWMM
  • GIS experience preferred
  • Experience with single-family residential and master-planned community developments preferred
  • Roadway design experience involving collector and arterial roadways is a plus
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects, coordinate stakeholders, and meet project deadlines
  • Strong technical writing, communication, and problem-solving skills
