Position Title: Senior Cloud / AI Developer

Pay Rate: $50/hr on W2
Position Description:
Join a dynamic team supporting the client as a Senior Cloud / AI Developer. This remote role offers the opportunity to design, develop, and maintain cutting-edge Java-based, cloud-native applications on Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform). You will build secure, scalable services that enhance business workflows, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and implement innovative AI capabilities. Key responsibilities include creating RESTful APIs, ensuring security compliance, developing CI/CD pipelines, and supporting application observability. Top Requirements:
- Over 13 years of relevant experience in software engineering and backend services
- Extensive expertise developing in Java with cloud-native application deployment on Google Cloud Platform (serverless and container-based approaches)
- Proven experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs, including security features like authentication and authorization
- Strong knowledge of AI integration within applications, with familiarity in monitoring and evaluation of AI features
- Deep understanding of secure coding practices, encryption, secrets management, and audit logging
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code, using Git workflows
- Excellent troubleshooting skills, with proficiency in observability tools for cloud applications
- Effective collaborator and communicator across engineering, product, QA, DevOps, and security teams
- Bachelor s degree in a related field; additional experience may substitute for formal education
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Agile methodology exposure and SDLC practices familiarity
- Experience with change and configuration management tools (e.g., ServiceNow, VersionOne)
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker), Kubernetes, or serverless deployments
Additional Information:
- Must pass a client-mandated security clearance process including drug screening, criminal history, and credit checks
- U.S. citizenship or permanent residency required, with continuous U.S. residence for the past 5 years
- No more than 6 months outside the U.S. in the last five years (excluding military service)
- Employment is contingent upon receiving and maintaining a Public Trust clearance
- Full-time contract position with flexible work hours, primarily supporting a teleworking environment
