Structural Project Engineer

Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior Structural Project Engineer for a direct hire opportunity in Austin, TX. This full-time role is ideal for an experienced structural engineering professional with 10+ years of design, project management, and team leadership experience in engineering services.

This opportunity offers the chance to lead meaningful structural design projects, mentor technical staff, oversee quality standards, and work closely with clients from concept through construction documentation. Key Responsibilities
- Lead structural engineering projects from planning and design through construction documentation and project delivery.
- Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, staffing, and client expectations to support successful outcomes.
- Perform and review structural calculations, drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
- Provide QA/QC oversight to ensure technical accuracy, code compliance, and high-quality deliverables.
- Coordinate with architects, contractors, internal design teams, and external project stakeholders.
- Mentor junior engineers and support team development, technical growth, and project execution.

Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range: $120,000 to $140,000 per year.
- Direct hire, full-time position.

Additional Skills

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Lead structural design and project management for building-related engineering projects.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, deliverables, and multidisciplinary coordination.
- Oversee QA/QC reviews and construction document preparation.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering team members.

- 10+ years of structural engineering design and project management experience.
- PE license required for senior-level consideration.
- EIT or EI candidates actively preparing for PE licensure may be considered.
- Strong experience with structural design, team leadership, and project delivery.
- Proficiency with Revit, RAM, RISA, or similar structural engineering software.
- Strong knowledge of AISC, ACI, IBC, and applicable building codes.
- Experience preparing and reviewing construction documents.
- Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and client coordination skills.

Preferred Qualifications
- SE license is a plus.
- Business development experience is preferred.
- Client relationship management experience is preferred.
- Experience mentoring engineers and supporting technical staff development is preferred.
