Genesis10 is currently seeking a Technical Product Owner / Senior Business Analyst for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Jersey City, NJ or Pennington, NJ. This is a hands-on delivery role supporting Equities Cash and Swaps trading platforms with a strong focus on Client Connectivity, FIX-based integrations, Order Management, and Global Routing. The successful candidate will work closely with trading desks, clients, and engineering teams to deliver scalable, resilient, client-facing capabilities across a global 24x5 electronic trading environment. This role requires strong front-to-back trading domain expertise and the ability to leverage modern AI-assisted tools to accelerate delivery.
Responsibilities: - Own and drive delivery across Equities Cash and Swaps trading platforms, client connectivity, and Order Management solutions
- Define and manage product vision, roadmap, backlog, and priorities in partnership with trading desks and business stakeholders
- Lead initiatives across client onboarding, FIX Protocol (4.x / 5.x) management, and global order routing
- Elicit requirements from trading desks, client connectivity teams, operations, middle office, and risk partners
- Translate requirements into user stories, functional specifications, and FIX message schemas
- Leverage AI-assisted tools to accelerate requirements discovery, generate delivery artifacts, and analyze existing systems
- Act as Product Owner within a SAFe / Agile delivery model, driving PI Planning and sprint execution
- Identify and manage delivery, dependency, and operational risks
- Lead and coordinate client onboarding, FIX certification cycles, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and production releases
Requirements: - 5-10+ years in Product Owner / Business Analyst / Delivery roles within Capital Markets
- Strong hands-on experience with Cash Equities (high-touch and low-touch) trading workflows, Equity Swaps lifecycle, and client connectivity with FIX-based integrations
- Proven experience working directly with trading desks (Cash & Swaps), client onboarding teams, and global technology teams
- Expertise in Cash Equities and Swaps trade lifecycle
- Deep knowledge of FIX Messaging Protocol (orders, executions, allocations)
- Experience with client connectivity and onboarding processes, Global and Smart Order Routing, and Electronic/Algorithmic Trading
- Understanding of front-to-back trade flow: order capture, execution, trade capture, allocation, and settlement
- Strong technical fluency, with the ability to read and reason about code (Java / C++ / scripting at a conceptual level) and analyze logs and data flows
Desired skills: - Experience with OMS / EMS platforms
- Exposure to market data systems, surveillance, or regulatory reporting
- Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, SQL / data analysis, and AI-assisted analysis tools
- Strong experience in UAT, functional testing, and FIX certification
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills across trading, clients, and engineering
- Ability to operate in a high-pressure electronic trading environment
- Proven delivery across global regions (AMRS / EMEA / APAC)
- Excellent executive communication and a structured approach to governance
Pay range: $74.51 - $82.51 per hour
