We are looking for Operations Data Analyst, Associate - Hybrid for our client in Oakland, CA

Job Title: Operations Data Analyst, Associate

Job Location: Oakland, CA

Job Type: Contract

Job Overview:

Pay Range: $33.72hr - $38.72hr

Requirement/Must Have:

  • BA/BS Degree in Marketing, Business, Computer Science, Engineering or other related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 2+ years of related work experience.
  • Familiarity with utility operations.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Excel/Access including complex formulas, graphing, and VBA.
  • Skilled writing SQL queries using Oracle or Business Objects.
  • Skilled developing dashboards using PowerBi.
  • Skilled developing and reporting metrics and KPIs.
  • Experience in UNIX shell programming including csh, awk, sed, and vi.
  • Knowledge of base-SAS and programming languages such as Visual Basic, Perl, or C.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data and effectively communicate findings.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage standard, routine data analysis projects with limited supervision from initial request to presenting data results ensuring that the project is completed within budget and on-time.
  • Work with other Data Management Analysts to process data, analyze data and report findings.
  • Create automated data routines and processes for reporting and data delivery ensuring accurate data manipulation and data cleansing.
  • Manage standard data extracts and list pulls ensuring accurate data.
  • Transfer data from databases to various analysts to support operational analysis efforts.
  • Demonstrate full understanding of data processing and analysis techniques.
  • Analyze data using various statistical tools to develop ad hoc reports, statistics, trends and profiles.
  • Develop and communicate clear, concise and actionable data analyses for clients.
  • Maintain audit-ready documentation and logging automation.
  • Ensure tracker accuracy and perform trend and root cause analysis.
  • Manage data governance, records management, and folder structures.
