Overview

You build the apps that help a global energy company deliver major projects. You join a Global Projects IT team. One team is building a new AI solution from the ground up. The other is growing a set of in-house web apps. You own features from the screen to the database to the cloud. Success means you take on complex work right away and help less experienced developers grow. This is a one-year contract with a likely extension.

Responsibilities

·        Build features across the full stack: Angular screens, C# and .NET services, and SQL Server data.

·        Design and build application programming interfaces (APIs) that connect new tools to existing apps and data.

·        Build and deploy apps on MS Azure, and help support the infrastructure behind them.

·        Refactor older code, pay down tech debt, and make apps faster and more reliable.

·        Pair with other developers, review code, and share what you learn with the team.

·        Build and support continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.

·        Use secure coding and threat modeling to find and close security gaps.

·        Help shape solution design and guide less experienced developers.

·        On the AI team, work with data scientists to build data pipelines, AI agents, and the systems that support them.

Qualifications

Required

·        8 or more years building software.

·        Hands-on cloud experience, with MS Azure strongly preferred.

·        Strong front-end skills in Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.

·        Back-end experience with C# and .NET.

·        Experience designing and integrating APIs.

·        Experience with SQL Server.

·        Able to work onsite full time in Spring, Texas.

Preferred

·        Infrastructure as code (IaC) with Terraform.

·        Azure security tools such as Key Vault, Front Door, web application firewall (WAF), and OAuth.

·        Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions for CI/CD.

·        Unit, integration, and automated testing.

·        Blazor.

·        AI-assisted development and AI tools: GitHub Copilot, Model Context Protocol (MCP), retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and AI agents. Experience with AI architecture and AI security also helps.

·        Scrum experience.

·        Oil and gas industry experience.
