About the Role
We re looking for a strategic and analytical professional to join our team as a Credit Risk Analyst focused on consumer lending. This role is pivotal in shaping risk strategies that enable responsible growth while maintaining compliance and delivering exceptional customer experiences. You ll work closely with cross-functional teams to design scalable solutions, leverage big data, and optimize risk frameworks in a fast-paced fintech environment.
What You ll Do
- Develop and refine credit risk policies and frameworks to support consumer lending initiatives.
- Partner with product, engineering, compliance, and analytics teams to deliver actionable insights.
- Utilize advanced analytics and big data platforms to enhance risk models and decision-making.
- Monitor portfolio performance, identify trends, and conduct root-cause analysis for continuous improvement.
- Recommend strategies in data-limited scenarios using business judgment and predictive modeling.
- Mentor junior analysts and foster innovation in risk management practices.
- Evaluate external vendors and data sources to strengthen risk assessment capabilities.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards while driving business growth.
What We re Looking For
- 7+ years of experience in credit risk, analytics, or related fields, with a strong focus on consumer lending.
- Proficiency in Python, R, SAS, and SQL-based environments.
- Experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Databricks, or QuickSight.
- Strong communication skills to translate complex data into clear insights for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, matrixed organization.
- Background in fintech, financial services, or risk management with expertise in consumer lending.
- Bachelor s degree in a quantitative discipline (Economics, Statistics, Engineering, etc.); advanced degree preferred.
