Hyland OnBase WorkView, providing
technical input on data transitions, integrations, testing, and operational
continuity.

Required
Qualifications

  • Experience with IBM i tools, including Access Client Solutions (ACS) and Navigator for i.
  • Strong background in batch processing and job scheduling.
  • Experience troubleshooting production systems in a legacy or mature technical environment.
  • Exposure to or experience with Hyland OnBase WorkView.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities - System Support &
Optimization (Approx. 90%)
  • Maintain and support COBOL applications running on IBM i (AS/400), ensuring performance, stability, and reliability.
  • Diagnose and resolve application, batch, and system issues by efficiently identifying root causes and implementing fixes with minimal direction.
  • Manage and enhance batch processing, job scheduling, file transfers, and system integrations.
  • Monitor system health, job queues, and performance indicators to proactively address potential issues.
  • Support SQL-based data access using DB2 for i, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
  • Provide support for emulator-related issues (PC5250), output management, print queues, and spool files.
  • Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve production issues.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, troubleshooting guides, and operational runbooks.

Secondary Responsibilities - Migration &
Administration (Approx. 10%)
  • Support the transition from IBM i applications to Hyland's OnBase WorkView platform, including data migration planning, integration support, and testing.
  • Assist with user profile administration, authority management, and job scheduling.
  • Support backup and recovery processes (BRMS).
  • Participate in testing, validation, and post-implementation support for upgrades and migration efforts.

Work Requirements &
Expectations
  • Ability to work alternative schedules, including evenings or weekends, for planned maintenance, system upgrades, urgent troubleshooting, or migration activities.
  • Candidates must be able to work Eastern Time Zone hours.
  • Remote candidates must reside within the continental United States and remain within the U.S. while in this role.
  • Local candidates with availability for onsite or hybrid work are strongly preferred.

Education & References

  • Three professional references are required upon submission:
    • Must be supervisory references
    • At least one reference must be from a role similar in scope
    • References must include full name, phone number, email address, and relationship details

Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is a self-directed, detail-oriented technical professional who is comfortable
working in stable legacy environments, enjoys problem-solving,
