Data Engineer/Analyst (Hybrid)
Primary Location: Ohio

V-Soft Consulting is currently hiring for a Data Engineer/Analyst for our premier client in Ohio.

Education and Experience

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
Minimum of 35 years of experience in data engineering and/or data analysis roles.
Experience with relational databases, data warehouses, and reporting tools.
Strong knowledge of SQL, ETL processes, and data integration techniques.
Proficiency in BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) and data visualization best practices.
Familiarity with scripting languages (Python preferred) for data manipulation.
Understanding of data governance, security, and compliance principles.
Ability to analyze complex datasets and communicate insights effectively.
Comfortable in front of operational data consumers with experience conveying complex data, and data concepts, for clarity and understanding.

WHAT YOULL DO:
Job Responsibilities:
Data Integration & Pipeline Development:

Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from diverse sources into centralized repositories.
Implement APIs and web services for data exchange between systems.
Ensure data quality, reliability, and security throughout the data lifecycle.

Data Modeling & Storage Optimization:

Create and maintain logical and physical data models to support efficient storage and retrieval.
Optimize database performance and scalability for reporting and analytics.

Data Analysis & Visualization:

Query and analyze large datasets using SQL and other tools to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
Develop interactive dashboards and reports using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
Provide actionable insights to support data-driven decision-making across departments.

Collaboration & Support:

Work closely with IT teams, business units, and stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
Provide training and guidance on data tools, dashboards, and best practices.

Governance & Documentation:

Implement data governance standards for accuracy, security, and compliance.
Prepare technical documentation and maintain periodic data quality checks.

Problem Resolution & Continuous Improvement:

Investigate and resolve data-related issues across systems and pipelines.
Recommend and implement improvements to enhance data accessibility and reporting capabilities.
