IT Project Lead

Location: Blythewood, SC

Work Arrangement: Hybrid (80% Onsite / 20% Remote)

Employment Type: Contract

Interview Mode: 2 Rounds (Initial Virtual Screening + Mandatory In-Person Interview)

Residency: Must be a current SC resident or willing to relocate to SC prior to start at own expense.

Project Oversight: Manage IT projects from inception to completion, identifying scope, resources, milestones, and potential risks.

Collaboration: Partner with the agency PMO to develop and document standardized project management methodologies for IT adoption.

Accountability: Maintain project team accountability by tracking budgets, risk mitigation actions, and task assignments; escalate issues timely to stakeholders.

Reporting: Establish meeting cadences, produce detailed meeting notes, and deliver supplemental materials for steering committee and strategic planning meetings.

System Modernization: Serve as a technical lead or coordinator for projects involving large-scale system enhancements and migrations.

Project Management: 5+ years of dedicated professional Project Management experience.

Enterprise IT: 3+ years of experience managing complex, enterprise-level IT projects.

Financial Oversight: 3+ years of experience managing project budgets and financial tracking.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Management, IT, Public Administration, or a related field.

Modernization: Direct experience managing system modernization initiatives.

Public Sector: Prior experience working with state agencies or government entities.

Vendor Management: Proven ability to collaborate effectively with external vendors and business partners.

Certifications: Active PMP Certification is highly desired.

Tools: Proficiency with ServiceNow for project tracking and management.
