Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced
Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, and deliver scalable, secure, cloud-based applications and services. This individual will work within an Agile/Scrum environment and contribute throughout the full software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, code reviews, deployment, and production support.
This role requires a strong software development background along with experience in web applications, databases, web services, and cloud technologies. Candidates must also be
eligible for conversion to full-time employment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable, resilient software applications and services.
- Develop solutions using C#, Python, and/or Java.
- Build and support modern web-based applications using technologies such as HTML5, Angular, and JavaScript.
- Develop and integrate web services and cloud-based solutions, preferably within AWS.
- Work with SQL-based databases and related data technologies.
- Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), including design, development, testing, code reviews, and deployment.
- Develop software with a strong focus on security, reliability, and performance.
- Deploy and support applications across multiple environments, including government environments.
- Participate as an active member of an Agile/Scrum team.
- Assist with troubleshooting and resolving escalated production and customer-support issues.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution.
- 5+ years of software development experience using C#, Python, and/or Java.
- 3+ years of experience with SQL-based databases.
- 3+ years developing web-based applications using technologies such as HTML5, Angular, and object-oriented JavaScript.
- 3+ years of experience with web services and cloud deployments, preferably AWS.
- Experience working across the full software development lifecycle.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
- AWS Developer and/or AWS Solutions Architect certification.
- Experience delivering high-visibility software projects under tight timelines.
- Experience with web application security, including SAML, OAuth, and OpenID.
- Knowledge of software security and vulnerability remediation.
- Previous experience within healthcare or Health Information Systems (HIS).
