Manufacturing Engineer Automation
Overview of Position
Role Summary the Manufacturing Engineer Automation demonstrates leadership in communicating, developing, and executing manufacturing schedules to the set objectives. Supports daily activities in process developments, validation activities, and change management. In this role you will utilize your experience and expertise to solve problems, develop & execute objectives, & can meet company objectives within the timelines specifically related to your assigned projects.
Essential Responsibilities
• Maintain continuous system operation by adjusting, repairing, replacing, or modifying automation/robotic system components.
• Program and integrate various Robot and Cobot systems such as ABB, Fanuc, and UR.
• Complete and support Automation Product Builds.
• Support Product Design for Automated work cell components and vision systems.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical diagrams including complex automated system drawings.
• Collaborate with the automation team in the qualification process of automated systems.
• Develop and design hardware and software required for all automation solutions per specifications such as End of Arm tooling and fixtures.
• Train technicians and operators on products, processes and equipment.
• Proper use of power tools and measuring equipment
• Travel 20% to client locations for system integration process.

Qualifications/Requirements

• B.S in Engineering, Technical Practice, or Equivalent
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in an engineering, quality, or Production and Manufacturing Operations in a Automotive or related industry.
• Robot/Cobot Programming Capabilities.
• Electrical experience is a plus
• Knowledge of HMI software
• Previous experience with pneumatics

Desired Characteristics
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Capability to work in teams
• Six Sigma Green Belt Certified.
• CAD, Solid Works proficiency.

Qualification:
• ABB programming, Engineering Degree or Equivalent
