About the RoleWe are looking for a highly technical, adaptable
Application Management Engineer to support multiple applications across the Controllers division. This role is ideal for a strong technical generalist who can work across infrastructure, application, cloud, and security domains while partnering with specialized development teams.
You will contribute to moderately complex engineering initiatives, support large-scale planning efforts, troubleshoot across diverse environments, and ensure the stability and reliability of key applications.
This position does
not require prior financial services experience. We value broad technical depth, curiosity, and hands-on experience with modern, market-relevant technologies.
What You'll DoApplication & Platform Support- Provide end-to-end management for multiple applications across several product lines.
- Act as a technical generalist supporting engineering, development, infrastructure, and security teams.
- Ensure application uptime, performance, and resiliency across environments.
Cloud & Infrastructure- Lead and support data center migration efforts to cloud environments.
- Apply strong knowledge of cloud concepts and hybrid/cloud architectures.
Monitoring & Observability- Configure, tune, and maintain monitoring tools, including:
- Splunk
- ThousandEyes
- AppDynamics or similar APM tools
Server & Application Configuration- Set up, configure, and troubleshoot:
- Load balancers
- Web servers
- Apache Tomcat
- Application servers
Security & Certificate Management- Manage authentication certificates, SSH keys, and related security controls using tools such as Venafi.
Infrastructure Services- Configure and support shared services including:
- APIs
- File transfer mechanisms
- S3/object storage
- Databases
- Network Data Managers (NDMs)
Operating Systems & Automation- Work within Linux/Unix environments with strong familiarity in file systems.
- Write shell scripts for automation and operational tasks.
Identity & Access Management- Support user migration initiatives across identity platforms such as:
- Active Directory (AD-ENT)
- Azure AD
- Ping
- OAuth2 frameworks
Required Qualifications- 5+ years of experience in each of the following areas:
- Cloud migration and data center modernization
- Application monitoring tools (Splunk, ThousandEyes, AppDynamics)
- Load balancers, web servers, Tomcat, and application servers
- Certificate and authentication management (Venafi, SSH, key management)
- Infrastructure services (APIs, file transfers, S3, databases, NDMs)
- Linux/Unix and shell scripting
- Identity platform migrations (AD-ENT ? Azure AD/Ping/OAuth2)
- Proven ability to troubleshoot across multiple layers (application, server, network, infrastructure).
- Strong technical adaptability and ability to support a broad engineering ecosystem.
- Experience working with modern technology stacks and multi-application environments.
- 4+ years of software engineering experience, or equivalent via work experience, military service, training, or education.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience supporting enterprise-scale or financial application environments.
- Background working in regulated, high-complexity environments.
- Strong documentation habits and operational process discipline.
